Zia Shishu Park being renamed

Secretariat Correspondent: Zia Shishu Park, a children's amusement park located in the capital’s Shahbag area, is being renamed as Shishu Park.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque disclosed the decision at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Wednesday noon.

The minister said Zia Shishu Park was renamed in written format some days ago, and this week the name plate is being changed.

The place of the children park is being moved slightly to east side, he added.

A memorial stone will be built there where the Pakistan forces surrendered to the joint forces and it will be included in the park area so that children can see it, the minister said.
