No signal... ancient mobile found in Austria bears shocking resemblance to a cell phone
Risingbd Desk: THEORIES surrounding a most unusual archaeological find have gone viral online, leading some to claim that this photo proves time travel is real.
A snap of a historical artefact closely resembling a mobile phone has emerged after an archaeological dig in Austria unearthed the finding.
Some believe the artefact is a clay copy of a mobile phone with a Sumerian writing style known as Cuneiform on the keys.
People believe the “phone”, claimed to be dated to the 13th Century, is evidence of an advanced ancient civilisation or proof that time travellers have brought mobiles back in time.
The ancient Cuneiform writing style isn’t unusual, and neither are Cuneiform clay tablets, but none have ever resembled a mobile phone and few have been found in Austria before.
Conspiracy website tothedeathmedia.com reported: "According to reports, during archaeological excavations at Fuschl am See, (in Salzburg), Austria, researchers unearthed a mysterious artefact from the thirteenth century with cuneiform writing that strangely resembles a cell phone.
"What a device like this with Cuneiform writing is doing in Austria is something that no one is able to fully understand or explain. Regrettably the information about this ‘sensational’ discovery is limited."
But some sceptics are critical of the lack of checkable information and the startling similarity to a mobile phone, which has led to many suggesting that the photo of the find is an elaborate hoax.
Meanwhile, UFO hunters are taking the snap as proof of aliens visiting ancient civilisations and bringing futuristic technology to them.
Scott C Waring, editor of UFO Sightings Daily, concluded: “Obviously we cannot avoid considering the possibility that this artefact is a hoax.
"Finding something like this is more than sensational and points to the possibility that its creator could have seen a similar device in the distant past. What does this mean?
"Well, it means that it is possible that in the distant past, someone saw something that resembled a communication device like a mobile phone and decided to recreate the device in stone."
