1000 tortoises seized in city

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel seized different species of 1,000 tortoises from Ashkona in capital on Thursday afternoon.

Sources said that acting on a tip off a team of RAB-1 conducted drive in the area and seized the tortoise.

Meanwhile, the law enforces detained a suspected man for his involvement from the area.

Confirming the matter, RAB`s Legal and Media Wing`s Assistant Director Md Maksudul Alam said that legal action will be taken against the detainee.
