‘None involved in enforced disappearances will return to politics`

Persons who were involved in enforced disappearances were not spared in any place of the world. In Bangladesh, persons who were involved in enforced disappearances will not be spared. Judgment will be ensured on the soil of Bangladesh.

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said this at a discussion on enforced disappearances at the National Museum in the capital’s Shahbagh on Friday. 

Shafiqul Alam said, “They have carried out disappearances and murders in the name of Sheikh Hasina. Her entire regime was a murderous enterprise. The first to fight against this was the ‘Mayer Dal’, call of the mother. They should be given the Independence Award for this courageous act”.

“We will ensure justice for all incidents relating to the enforced disappearances on a priority basis. The government has formed a commission, and over 3,500 complaints of enforced disappearances have been received so far”, he said.
