118 Malaysia-bound Rohingyas held in Cox’s Bazar

Bangladesh Coast Guard members detained 118 Rohingya people while they were trying to go to Malaysia through river route from Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Thursday evening.
Teknaf Coast Guard station commander lieutenant Sohel Rana said, locals noticed the trawler floating sea near St Martine and informed coast guards. Later, the trawler carrying 118 Rohingyas was taken to St Martine.
Meanwhile, four boatmen were also detained from the trawler.
Of the detainees, 58 are women, 14 are children and 46 are men, he said.
