15th span of Padma Bridge installed

The 15th span of the Padma Bridge has been installed at Jajira point, making 2,250 metres of the bridge visible.

The span ‘4-C’ installed on the 23th and 24th pillars around 11:40am on Tuesday.

15th span, which was scheduled to be installed earlier, could not be placed on the pillars due to navigability problem.  

Sources said, three more spans were kept ready to install. Four more spans 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 would be installed this year.
