17 more police members test coronavirus positive

Seventeen more members of Bangladesh Police tested positive for coronavirus in last 24 hours, raising the total number of infected cops across the country to 1,549.

A press release issued by Police Headquarters revealed the news on Sunday afternoon.

It said, “Of the infected cops, 724 are from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).”

Meanwhile, 2,870 police members have been quarantined while 1,089 isolated. A total of 147 cops recovered from the dead virus, the press release read.
