17 shops gutted in Charfashion fire

17 shops were gutted in a fire that broke out at a market in Charfashion upazila of Bhola district early Friday.

The fire originated at 1:25am.

Members of Charfashion fire service brought the fire under control after an effort of about two hours.

The fire service officials suspected that the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit in the shop.

The fire caused a damage of around Tk 3 crore.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Charfashion Police Station Shamsul Arefin confirmed the matter.
