Initiative to create 5 lakh jobs in next 2 years: Asif Mahmud

Mentioning that 1.08 crore people are still unemployed in the country, Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, youth and sports adviser of the interim government, said initiatives have been taken to create employment for five lakh individuals in the next two years.
He shared the updates during a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday (November 17), marking the first 100 days of the interim government’s tenure.
Asif Mahmud said: “The current unemployment figure in the country stands at 1.08 crore, including 2,600,000 graduates. The Ministry of Youth and Sports aims to create jobs for 500,000 unemployed individuals over the next two years.”
Employment for 86,277 people has been secured across various sectors, he said.
