Desh TV MD Arif Hasan put on 2-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed Desh TV Managing Director (MD) Arif Hasan on a two-day remand in a case over allegedly attempting to murder one Sajib.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahin Reza passed the order on Sunday noon (November 17).

Earlier, Abu Saeed, Sub-Inspector of Airport Police Station in the capital, also the Investigation Officer of the case, produced him before the court seeking a three-day remand.

The investigation officer mentioned Arif Hasan as Awami League's money supplier in the remand plea.

On Saturday, Arif Hasan was detained at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport last night as he tried to board a plane. On information, airport police arrested him.
