Ordinance on new labour law by March: Labour secretary

Labour and employment secretary AHM Safiquzzamna said that new law will be enacted within March next year.

He also said that work is also ongoing on to improve the new labor law to international standards.

The secretary said this while addressing a press conference at the interim government’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Labor and Employment on Sunday (November 17).

Meanwhile, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan and others attended the program.

Safiquzzamna said that strict action is being taken against those responsible for creating worker unrest. A total of 128 people, including employers and workers, have been arrested.
