2 bodies recovered from N’ganj shipyard

The bodies of two workers were recovered from a shipyard in Narayanganj on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Yaa Rasul, hailed from Jhauchar village of Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj and Russel, 32, of the same area.

Narayanganj fire service and civil defense deputy assistant director Abdullah Al Arefin said, the rescue operation has been declared shut following the bodies’ recovery.

Earlier on Thursday, the two workers died after being pressed by a newly-built ship while floating it in the Brahmaputra r River from the shipyard.
