2 killed as private car loses control in city

Staff Correspondent: Two women were killed and two others were injured as a private car stormed a roadside footpath after losing control at High Court Majar road area in the capital.

The deceased were identified as Sahera (40) and Hasina (30).

Police said the incident took place when a private car stormed a roadside footpath as its driver lost control over the steering at High Court Majar road area in the capital’s Shahbagh early Tuesday.

Later, they were recovered and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctors declared Sahera dead and Hasina succumbed to her injuries around 7:30am.

The dead bodies have been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sub-inspector (SI) of Shahbagh police station Firoz Alam confirmed the news.
