2 killed in Gopalganj road crash

Two people have been killed in a head-on collision between a covered-van and a peddled-van in Dhumdia area of Gopalganj sadar upazila.

The accident took place around 9.00am on Thursday on Dhaka-Khulna highway.

One of the deceased was identified as Manjur Sardar, 50, son of Motaleb Sardar at Tebaria village under sadar upazila.

According to sources, a Dhaka-bound covered-van collided head-on with a van carrying two people, leaving the duo passengers of peddled-van dead on the spot and leaving its driver critically injured.
