2 pilgrims die at Ijtema

Two more pilgrims have died on the Biswa Ijtema ground on the bank of river Turag at Tongi in Gazipur.

The deceased were identified as Humayun Kabir, 60, son of late Joynal Abedin at Osmanpur under Pirganj, and AFM Jaharul Alam, 65, son of Lutfor Rahman at Kalahat Gopalpur in Jhenidah.

The second phase of 55th Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of the Muslims after Hajj, began on Friday morning at Tongi, on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka.
