20th span of Padma Bridge being installed today

The 20th span of the Padma Bridge is being installed today (Tuesday) at Jajira point, making 3 kilometers of the bridge visible.
The span will be installed on the 18th and 19th pillars on Tuesday noon.
Assistant engineer of Padma Bridge Abdul Kader Murad said that 20th span will be installed on the 18th and 19th pillars.
Three spans already have been installed in this month.
The bridge authority said, a total of 33 spans came to the country, among them 19 spans have already installed. Every works of bridge is going on rapidly.
Work on the country’s largest bridge started in December 2015. The structure started becoming visible with the installation of 150-metre span on pillars 37 and 38 on October 30, 2017.
The 6.15-kilometre bridge will have 41 spans, each 150 metres long.
