218 policemen infected with coronavirus

A total of  218 police members have been found to be infected with pandemic  coronavirus or COVID-19 and 652 policemen have remained in quarantine as of today (April 23).

Police headquarters came up with the information on Thursday (April 23) in a statement sent to the media.

A total of  218 police members have been found to be infected with coronavirus or COVID-19 across the country as of April 23. Adequate measures have been taken for the treatment of the policemen infected with the virus, according to the statement.

Newly appointed Inspector General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed is enquiring about the corona infected policemen and their families.
