State mourning declared for late adviser Hassan Ariff Monday

National mourning day will be observed on Monday (December 23) at the death of Hassan Ariff, Adviser to the Ministry of Land and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Cabinet division issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (December 22).

On the day of mourning, the national flag will be hoisted at half-mast at all government, semi-government, and autonomous institutions, educational institutions, all government and private buildings, and Bangladesh missions abroad, a Cabinet Division notification said.

Special prayers will be arranged at all mosques and other places of worship seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of the late adviser of the interim government, said the notification.
