3 JMB men remanded

A Dhaka court has placed three members of the banned Islamic militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahidin Bangladesh (JMB), including its ‘ameer’, on a three-day remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas passed the order on Monday.

Earlier, Special Action Group of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested them by conducting a special drive on Sunday night in the city’s Syed Nagar area under the Bhatara police station.

They are JMB ameer Abu Raihan alias Mahmud Alais A Hadi, Md Habibur Rahman alias Chan Mia and Rajibur Rahman alias Rajib alias Sagar.

Police also recovered 150 detonators, jihadi books, one knife and 20 pieces of explosives from their possession.
