3 children drown in Jhenaidah

Jhenaidah Correspondent: Three children have drowned while they were talking bath in a pond at Mamunshia village under Kotchandpur upazila of the district on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Ria, 8, Nirob, 9, Murad, 7. Ria and Nirob are the children of Joynal and Murad is the son of Roni Hossain of the same village.

Additional superintendent of Kotchandpur Thana Azbahar Ali Sheikh said three children drowned while talking bath in the pond around 12:30pm.

Later, the locals sent them to Kotchandpur upazila health complex after recovering them. But they died on the way, Azbahar Ali said.

An unnatural death case has been filed with Kotchandpur Thana in this connection, the additional superintendent added.
