3 grenades, 6 landmines recovered from graveyard

Three grenades and six landmines have been recovered from a graveyard at Rampura village under Adamdighi upazila in Bogura district.

Being informed by locals, police recovered those from the graveyard around 9.30pm on Saturday.

Jalal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Adamdighi Police Station, said some boys discovered the grenades and landmines while playing near the graveyard and informed others.

1965 was inscribed on the bodies of the landmines as the manufacturing year, and those might have been used during the Liberation War in 1971, he added.
