3 killed as truck hits auto-rickshaw in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj Correspondent: Three people have been killed and four others injured as a truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj.

The accident took place on Kishoreganj-Bhairab highway around 11:30am on Thursday.  

The deceased were identified as Jamal Uddin, Tofazzal and Umar Faruk.

Nasir Uddin, officer in-charge of Katiadi Highway Police Station, said an auto-rickshaw was heading towards Bhairab from Karimganj. But, a speedy truck hit it from opposite direction, leaving the people critically injured. Later, the injured were sent to Bajitpur Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared dead.
