3 killed in Narayanganj road accident

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Three persons were killed and eight others were injured in a collision between a pick-up van and a human haulier in the district on Tuesday night.

The accident took place around 8.00pm in Barab area under Rupganj upazila.
The deceased were identified as Rabbi Mia, 22, at Kowkhali under Pirojpur upazila in Barishal, Jahangir, 36, and Shahabuddin, 33, of the same area.

According to witnesses, a Kachpur-bound pick-up van collided with the human haulier coming from the opposite direction, leaving the three men dead on the spot. The injured were rescued and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
