3 more deaths, record 790 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

Three more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 186 in the country.

Besides, 790 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 11,719.

Prof Dr  Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation on Wednesday (May 6).

“We've carried out tests on 6,241 samples collected from across the country and 790 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 11,719,” she said.
