32 more deaths, 3141 fresh positive cases from Covid-19

32 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 1,171 in the country.

Besides, 3,141 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 87,520.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Sunday (June 14).

As many as 903 patients have recovered from the deadly virus in last 24 hours, she said.

According to DGHS, a total of 18,730 individuals have recovered from the disease so far since Bangladesh recorded its first Covid-19 case on March 8.

“We've carried out tests on 14,505 samples collected from across the country and 3,141 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. The total number of infections has risen to 87,520” she said.
