Job seekers formed a human chain on Friday demanding extension of the age limit for government jobs from 30 years to 35.
Some student organizations came up with the demand during the programme in front of National Press Club in the capital.
Coordinator of the organizations MA Ali said, “We have been demanding extension of age limit for entry into government jobs for a long time. It is a very logical demand as students generally finish university education at the age of 28.”
“We will continue our demonstrations until the government takes any step to fulfill our demand”, he added.
Currently, the age limit for entering into public service is 30 years, while the retirement age is 59 years.
