36 Buet students punished over ragging at dorms

The authority of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has punished 36 of its students for their involvement with ragging in the university dormitories.
Following the step, the second demand of Buet students was met after much talked Abrar murder.
They were resident students of Ahsan Ullah hall while three of Suhrawardy hall. A total of 36 were suspended for different terms. Others were warned for the future.
A notice, signed by member secretary of the board and director of Buet's Directorate of Students' Welfare Prof Mizanur Rahman, was issued in this regard on Thursday.
