39 held at Ctg airport while travelling to Libya illegally

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 have arrested 39 people at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong while they were travelling to Libya illegally.

They were arrested in a drive conducted by RAB members from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.

Confirming the matter, Media Officer of RAB-7 Chandan Debnath said 39 people were arrested in a drive from Wednesday night to Thursday morning as they had information that those people were travelling to Libya illegally.

The arrestees are now being interrogated at Patenga office, he added.

He said a press conference will be held in this regard at its Patenga office later in the day
