4 killed as bus overturns in Gopalganj

Gopalganj Correspondent: Four people were killed and 25 others injured as a bus overturned at Vatiapara intersection in Kashiani upazila on Dhaka-Khulna highway on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Lokman Mollah, 60, Goffar Mollah, 65, Kibria Mollah, 50, and Chand Mia, 30.

Md Azizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kashiani Police Station, said the bus overturned on the road as its driver lost control over the steering and hit a stationary truck in the area at 11:30 am, leaving three people dead on the spot.

One of the injured died on way to hospital.

On information, Fire Service and Police rushed to the spot and rescued other injured passengers and admitted them to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex.
