4.6 kg gold seized at airport

Customs officials of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have seized 4.6 kg gold bars, worth Tk nearly 2.32 crore from an aircraft.

On secret information, the officials recovered the gold kept under the seat of a passenger of a Biman Bangladesh aircraft that landed at the airport on Saturday noon from Dubai.

Deputy Commissioner Md Sazzad Hossain confirmed the matter.

The plane was seized in this connection.
