5 hurt as villagers clash in Narsingdi

At least 5 people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers in Khodadila village of Alakbali union in Narsingdi Sadar upazila on Friday.

The injured are – Rayhan Mia, 17, Khalilur Rahman, 45, Moslem Mia, 35, Mannan Mia, 17 and Hanif, 26.

Police and locals said there was a dispute between Alakbali union Chhatra League president Jashim Uddin and Union Tatidal president Hanif Mia. Following the issue, the supporters of them locked into a fierce clash, leaving five people injured. Meanwhile, some houses were vandalized.

Of the injured, Rayhan was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Narsingdi Sadar Model police station Officer-in-Charge Syeduzzaman confirmed the matter.
