5 killed as truck overturns in Tangail

At least five people were killed and 11 other were injured as a truck overturned on the road in Tangail on Saturday morning.

The accident took place around 6.00am in Kandila area on Dhaka-Tangail highway.

OC of Elenga Highway Thana Kamal Hossain confirmed the news.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

According to sources, a cement-laden truck was going to North Bengal from Dhaka. It was also carrying workers and passengers who were going to their village homes due to coronavirus fear.

The injured were sent to Tangail General Hospital.  Among them, condition of four people are critical
