500-member body headed by PM to prevent corona

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said a 500-member body headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been formed to prevent coronavirus.

Obaidul Quader said this at a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday.

In responding to a question on lockdown, he said the government will not take any decision rapidly rather than the Prime Minister will take the right decision following the situation.

Prime Minister will give directions to prevent coronavirus in her speech to the nation on March 25, he added.

Quader urged grassroots public representatives to raise awareness among people about coronavirus.

Replying to a question, he said there is no food crisis in the country. “The government will take action if anyone stockpiles food,” he said.
