Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained eight members of a fraud gang including seven Nigerians from the capital’s Mirpur and Dakkhin Khan areas.
RAB said they have been nabbed for allegedly alluring lottery winning through short message over mobile phone.
Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, assistant director of Rapid Action Battalion’s legal and media wing, confirmed the news on Tuesday morning.
He said the members of RAB-4 conducted separate drives at Mirpur and Dakkhin Khan areas in the capital and held them.
Details in this regard will be disclosed in a press conference later, he added.
