7 agreements to be signed during PM’s Brunei visit

Secretariat Correspondent: The Bangladesh government is likely to sign seven agreements with the Brunei government, during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's three-day visit to its capital, Darussalam.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen made the disclosures while addressing a press conference on Thursday.

The agreements are- Assistance in waiving visas in government and diplomat passports, assistance in using science and technology in agriculture, liaison in the field of arts and culture, cooperation in sports and youth-related activities, cooperation in the field of fisheries, assistance in the field of livestock and cooperation in the field of fuel and energy.

Foreign Minister said, the prime minister will visit Brunei from April 21-23 following the invitation of Brunei Sultan Hazi Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

Acting foreign secretary Kamrul Ahsan, Maritime Affairs Unit Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rear Admiral (Retd) Md Khurshed Alam and others attended the press conference.
