A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit the Alaska Peninsula late triggering a tsunami warning.
American organization the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the tremor stuck on Wednesday at 6:12pm GMT in south-southeast of Perryville.
“No reports of any damage,” Kodiak Police Sgt. Mike Sorter told The Associated Press early Wednesday morning. “No injuries were reported. Everything is nominal.”
