ACC sues 5 including 2 AB bank officials

The Anti-Corruption Commission filed a case against five people, including two AB Bank officials on charge of misappropriation of Tk19.79 crore.
Chattogram district office-1 Deputy assistant director Muhammad Shihab Salam filed the case on Tuesday, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattachargya confirmed.
The accused are- Ilias Brothers Private Limited managing director (M.D.) Shamsul Alam, Nahar Trading Corporation Ltd. M.D. Shoaib, Marrin Vegetable Oils Ltd Chairman Tipu Sultan and M.D. Jahir Ahammad, Arab Bangladesh bank (AB) former SVP and relationship manager Ashraful Aziz.
According to the case statement, the accused in connivance with each other misappropriated Tk19.79 crore from AB Bank’s Khatunganj branch.
