ACC wants to quiz Papia at jail gate

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) wants to interrogate expelled Jubo Mohila League leader Shamima Noor Papia and her husband Md Mofizur Rahman alias Sumon Chowdhury at the jail gate.

ACC Investigation Officer (IO) filed a petition to Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Court on July 13, seeking permission in this connection.

ACC deputy director Shaheen Ara Momtaz did not agree to talk details in this regard.

According to the petition filed with the court, the IO said Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Detective Branch (DB) of Police interrogated Papia and her husband Sumon Chowdhury on remand after they were shown arrested. Since, they have been in the Kashimpur jail. But they should be interrogated at the jail gate to unearth details and find out others involved in the allegation.
