Senior Correspondent: The ruling Awami League (AL) has formed a monitoring cell for ensuring optimum services to dengue patients and implement effective measures to resist dengue outbreak.
The cell was formed in a meeting with expert physicians held at the party President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
Chairman of Bangladesh Medical Association Dr Mostafa Jalal was made convener of the monitoring cell.
A five-point programme has been taken in the meeting that includes- forming a monitoring cell comprising of AL leaders and expert physicians in every district, creating public awareness, encouraging physicians, nurses and other health workers, arranging for logistic supports necessary in coordination with the government and ensuring necessary number of physicians, nurses and other health workers in every district.
