Actors of Bangabandhu biopic finalized

The actors of the much anticipated biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman have been finalized through audition.

Indian director Shyam Benegal will direct the joint production of the governments of Bangladesh and India.

Information ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.

Actor Arifin Shuvo will play the role of the father of the nation while Nusrat Imroz Tisha will play the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s wife Fazilatunnesa.

Work on the biopic of Bangabandhu is scheduled to start on March 17, 2020, and the film is to be released by March 17, 2021 to mark his birth centenary.
