Advance Eid train ticket sale begins

Staff Correspondent:  Bangladesh Railway began selling advance train tickets on Wednesday morning on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Advance tickets are being sold at five different spots including Kamalapur Railway Station.

During visit, it was seen that hundreds of people thronged Kamalapur Railway Station to purchase train tickets in advance for travelling during the Eid-ul-Fitr.
Tickets for May 31 are being sold on the first day.

Tickets for June 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be available on May 23, 24, 25 and 26 respectively.

Besides, return tickets for June 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 will be available on May 29, 30, 31, June 1 and 2 respectively.

The sale began at 9am and will continue until 5pm. Each person will be able to buy a maximum of four tickets.

This year 50 per cent of the tickets will be sold on a mobile app.

Eight pairs of special trains will run on different routes during the Eid.
