All varsity activities to remain closed till June 15

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to suspend all kinds of academic activities in all private and public universities till June 15.

However, the universities are allowed to hold online classes and distance learning programmes.

The UGC on its website published a notice in this regard on Friday (May 29).

With the closure of academic activities, the university authorities have been asked to take all necessary measures for ensuring health guidelines at their respective campuses, and they can seek the UGC’s help regarding that through virtual meetings or e-mails instead of directly meeting with the UGC, the notice said.
