Andrew Kishore buried beside mother

Legendary singer Andrew Kishore has been buried beside his mother’s grave.

He was buried around 11.50am on Wednesday at the Christian graveyard near the Rajshahi Colletarate ground.

Andrew Kishore was lying in the freezer from July 6, and his body was taken to Rajshahi City Church around 9.0am.  His son, daughter and relatives were present at the funeral.

His son and daughter were in Australia at the time of his death. They returned to the country after hearing the news of their father’s demise.

Saptak, son of Andrew Kishore, came back last Thursday. As soon as he reached Rajshahi, he rushed to the hospital to have a glimpse of his father.

He broke down in tears when he saw his father kept inside a coffin. Daughter Songa reached Rajshahi on Monday (July 13).

The legendary singer breathed his last in a clinic in Rajshahi at the evening of July 6.

Andrew Kishore returned home on the night of June 11 after a nine-month long treatment in Singapore. He flew for the country on September 9 last year. He was suffering from cancer.
