Another dies of dengue at DMCH

Staff Correspondent: Another man died of dengue fever who was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday noon, raising the toll to 11 so far in the hospital alone.

He was identified as Rafiqul Islam Rabbi, 22, son of Aminul Islam of Kabirpur under Faridpur Kotwali Police Station.

Rabbi had been admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital since July 21. He was shifted to DMCH on Wednesday morning as his health condition deteriorated.

Rabbi resided in the capital’s Sheorapara area. He used to work at a mobile operator’s customer care.

DMCH Police Outpost ASI Abdullah Khan confirmed the news.
