Another policeman dies from coronavirus

Another policeman has died from the coronavirus, taking the death toll from the virus in the law-enforcement agency to six in the country.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Raghunath Ray, 48, breathed his last at Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital at around 8:20am on Wednesday.

Hailed from Laxmipur, Raghunath was working in the South Division of Public Order Management (POM) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

He left behind wife, a daughter, a son and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

The body was sent to the village home of the deceased for burial under management of police.
