Another woman dies of dengue at RMCH

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Another woman has died of dengue fever at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) while undergoing treatment.

Rawshan Ara, 55, died around 10.00am on Saturday at the hospital’s ICU.

She was the wife of Moslem Uddin, a resident of Thakur Daulatpur village under Bheramara upazila in Kushtia district.

Confirming the matter, Deputy Director of RMCH Dr. Saiful Islam Ferdous said she was admitted to the hospital with dengue fever on September 10.

The woman was diagnosed with dengue fever on September 8 in Kushtia. On September 10, she was transferred to RMCH from a Kushtia hospital. On Thursday, she was taken to ICU as her condition deteriorated.

With this, the death toll from dengue fever at RMCH has risen to three.
