Awami League leader dies of hydrophobia

A local Awami League leader has died of hydrophobia at Khalilnagar union under Tala upazila in Satkhira district.

The deceased is Abdul Khaleque Morol, general secretary of a ward unit of Khalilnagar union and son of Pachu Morol.

He died around 11.00pm on Thursday at Mawa Ferry Ghat when he was being taken to Dhaka for better treatment.

Awami League leader Pronab Gosh Bablu said a wild animal bit him about three month ago and he was passing his days without any symptom.   On Wednesday night, he suddenly fell ill, and he was taken to Tala Upazila Health Complex.  Later, he was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital. As her health condition did not improve in Khulna and he was referred to Dhaka.
