BCL kicks off

The 8th edition of Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL), the country’s lone franchise-based first-class cricket event, has kicked off today.

The tournament was inaugurated this morning waving balloons in the air at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Chief coordinator of Walton Central Zone and Walton Group’s Executive Director Uday Hakim was present at the inaugural ceremony.

In the first round of the event, Islami Bank East Zone is taking on Walton Central Zone at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur while BCB North Zone and BCB South Zone are facing each other at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
