BIMSTEC headquarters to be in Dhaka

Sangsad Correspondent, DHAKA, Feb 26: The headquarters of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) likely to be set up in Dhaka.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came up with the disclosure in the parliament on Wednesday.

BIMSTEC is an international organisation involving a group of countries in South Asia and South East Asia.

The member countries of this group are: Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal.
