Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Sunday staged a protest rally in the capital demanding release of the party chairperson Khaleda Zia from jail.
Carrying posters, banners and festoons, the leaders and activists started to move the rally location this morning.
The rally started around 2:00pm in front of BNP’s central office at Naya Paltan in the capital.
Following the rally, transportation movement became slow in Nightingale intersection, Fakirapul and Nayapaltan area. The law enforcing agencies were seen in alert position centering the political programme.
BNP assistant organizing secretary Advocate Abdus Salam Azad said, avoiding all kinds of government barrier, today’s program is being held.
